Let’s take a look at the factors at play in the Texas land market now and in the future. And, why so many have their eyes on TX. ๐Ÿ‘€

We think about this a lot when investing in land, especially when we’re working with some of our clients as well. If you think about it, there’s a reason why Texas is garnering so much attention.

โœ”๏ธ The political climate is very stable
๐Ÿ‘ Pro-Business friendly state
๐Ÿ’ช There are very strong property rights here in Texas.
๐Ÿฎ Ag exemption helps quite a bit when owning a property, reduces your property taxes significantly.

And, there are a few other factors that make Texas quite unique within the United States:
Proximity to Mexico, which can be a good trade partner.
Proximity to each coast, which is very favorable for executives that are doing international travel.
Proximity to three other major markets just in Texas alone.
Proximity to the Houston port which is one of the largest ports in the country.
Texas’ overall cost of living is relatively low, comparatively speaking. Though that is changing, especially here in Austin. Hopefully we can reverse that.

It is very attractive when companies are looking to relocate from places such as New York or California which does not have politically friendly climates and the cost of living is quite expensive. There is a reason why so much attention is being drawn to Texas and why so many folks are moving here. And, I also believe there’s a reason why Elon Musk said, “Austin is going to be the largest boom town in the next 50 years this country will see.”

Of course, whenever investing in land, we always recommend that you speak with your attorney, your CPA, a financial expert, but we are very bullish long term for the next three to five years in Texas, but specifically Austin. Austin also has room to expand. If you look east of Austin, it’s very developable land. We aren’t completely encapsulated by mountains like some of the other markets throughout the country.
